  • What postcodes do you cover?
We cover postcodes G1-62, G63-81, PA1-5, PA8 and ML1-6. Any postcodes not covered may be enquired about via our contact form, though they may incur an additional fee.
  • How often should I get waxed?
We recommend you book a waxing treatment every 4-6 weeks - a regular waxing routine will achieve better and better results over time. After your first few sessions, you should expect to see hairs grow back sooner as the hairs growing just below the surface of the skin start to come through. Over time, a regular waxing routine will cause hair growth to align in growing phase, meaning you will stay smoother for longer after your appointment - the ultimate goal. Also over time, a regular waxing routine will cause hair to grow back softer, finer and more sparsely on the body, meaning even during hair growth you will feel smoother and softer.
  • Does waxing hurt?
Most people say waxing doesn't hurt as much as they thought it would, but if you're worried, you can take a couple of paracetamol an hour before your appointment. Over time with regular waxing appointments, hair becomes finer and more sparse and the pain will lessen. Also, rest assured your waxer is trained and knowledgeable and will use the best products, technique and diligence to make your treatment as comfortable as possible. Some areas are more sensitive than others and your waxer will always respond accordingly to this.
  • Will my waxer be Male or Female?
    Your waxer will be male.
  • What wax do you use?
We use a combination of hot and strip wax depending on what is required for the area. Your waxer will always choose the most appropriate for the treatment to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. We also carry a few different types of wax and pre/post-wax products to ensure any allergies or preferences can be catered for. You will always be asked any preferences in advance of your appointment so we can have notice to cater for anything.
  • What is blending?
Blending is the trimming of the hair immediately surrounding a waxed area. We use clippers to fade the hair from short to long in order to soften the border between waxed and unwaxed areas and make the results of your wax look more natural. Blending is included with all of our treatments if the client wishes.
  • Are the products you use suitable for vegans?
Yes, we always either use vegan friendly products or carry vegan friendly alternatives with us. You will be asked this in advance too and we will always answer any questions about the products we use.
  • I have sensitive skin / allergies.
You will always fill out a consultation form in advance of your appointments and any allergies or sensitives will be addressed at this point. We can check products for allergens and arrange a suitable alternative and if necessary, a patch test may need to be carried out at least 48hrs before your appointment.
  • Are your treatments suitable for clients who are Trans?
All of our the treatments we offer are available to everyone, regardless of gender identity. We endeavour to be inclusive, welcoming and to make all of our clients comfortable. Please note, due to our training, licensing and insurance, we are unable to offer intimate waxing for clients who have a vagina.
  • What are your booking and cancellation policies?
Our booking and cancellation policies can be found here.
  • How long should my hair be for waxing?
Body hair should be at least ½ a centimetre to get the best results. Longer hair will be trimmed before waxing by your waxer. If you have previously shaved the area you want waxed, you should leave the hair to grow for around 3 weeks before your appointment.
  • Should I trim body hair beforehand?
No, body hair needs to be a certain length for waxing to be most successful. Your waxer will trim longer hair to the correct length as part of the treatment. We'd rather it was too long than too short.
  • What should I do leading up to my appointment?
Before your appointment, you must avoid sunbathing or sunbeds for at least 48hrs. To improve the results and comfort of your wax, we recommend you gently exfoliate and moisturise the areas you want waxed, but you must stop exfoliating at least 48hrs before your appointment. You will be asked to complete a consultation form prior to your appointment to ensure waxing will be safe for you. If you have an history of allergies or skin reactions or have any other specific requirements, we may also arrange a patch test a least 48hrs before your appointment.
  • What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
Hygiene is imperative for your waxing to take place. In advance of your appointment, please ensure you shower and thoroughly clean the areas you will be getting waxed. This is especially important for intimate waxing and underarms. Poor personal hygiene will result in your treatment not taking place at your waxers discretion. Once showered, please avoid applying deodorants, moisturisers or fragrances to the areas you will be getting waxed. To avoid becoming too hot by wearing loose clothing, ventilating your home or turning the heating down. As well as preventing perspiration, waxing works better in cooler environments. Ensure there is a clean and clear space in your home for your waxer to set up the equipment and move around their waxing table.
  • Why is it important I follow aftercare advice?
Temporarily after a wax, the skin is left sensitive and the pores are left open. It is important to follow the aftercare advice given here, on your aftercare card and discussed with your waxer at your appointment to avoid any adverse effects while the skin is vulnerable. After a wax, the skin must be kept protected, clean, cool and soothed and the advice we give you to achieve this following your wax will help minimise the likelihood of any adverse effects.
  • How can I expect my skin to look after waxing?
After waxing you can expect some temporary effects which will fade quickly by themselves. • Skin may be slightly tender and warm but not sore afterwards. • Individual follicles may be slightly inflamed and appear as red dots which will quickly fade by themselves. • Some follicles may have tiny blood spots where coarse growing hair has been removed, which will quickly stop by itself.
  • What should I AVOID 24-48hrs after my wax?
No tight fitting clothing. No hot baths, showers or saunas (cool to lukewarm water only). No tanning (sunbathing, sunbeds or fake tan). No sport, swimming, gym or other vigorous exercise. No scratching, scrubbing or exfoliating the treated areas. No sexual activity after intimate waxing. No deodorants, after shaves, body sprays, make-up or perfumed lotions on treated areas.
  • What should I do for 24-48hrs after my wax?
Ensure you wear clean, loose fitting clothes to prevent friction, sweating and bacteria entering the open pores. Ensure you use clean towels after taking cool/lukewarm showers to prevent bacteria entering the open pores. Ensure you apply sunblock* to exposed areas of waxed skin before going outdoors. Apply antiseptic cream* regularly to soothe and protect the skin. *Always wash your hands before applying products.
  • How can I care for my skin in between appointments?
To get the best results from your wax, you can care for your skin normally from 48hrs after your treatment. • Keep skin soothed and soft by regularly moisturising areas you get waxed. • Gently exfoliate waxed areas regularly to help regrowing hairs come to the surface and minimise the chance of them becoming in-grown.
  • Should I shave in between waxes?
No, please don't shave in-between waxes - allow your hair to grow back for your next appointment and you will see your results become better and better over time.
  • What should I do if I am concerned about an after effect of waxing?
If you follow your aftercare advice faithfully, the chances of you having lasting or worrying after effects is minimised, but we are always here to help you if you need help with anything you are unsure about. If you have any after effects that you find worrying, that do not fade within 48hrs or develop or worsen following your treatment, please do not hesitate to contact us so we can help. Although lasting after effects are rare, your waxer can always provide you with further advice if you need it.
  • What should I expect from an intimate waxing treatment?
For an intimate waxing treatment, you can expect your waxer to be professional at all times. They will explain the treatment to you before they begin and reiterate anything they need to do before they do it and ensure you are comfortable. You will prepare for the treatment by undressing from the waist down. You will be provided with a modesty towel which will be removed for the treatment to begin. As with all of our waxing, our hygiene standards are extremely high and all of our equipment is either sterilised, disinfected or disposable.
  • Can I have any hair I want left trimmed?
Yes, your waxer will trim any hair left to the length of your preference and blend any surrounding hair with the waxed area.
  • I am worried about getting an erection during intimate waxing treatment.
It is normal for some clients to get a slight involuntary erection during an intimate wax. This is nothing to worry about or be embarrassed by as your waxer knows this is involuntary and will continue the treatment completely professionally. However, if your waxer feels that a clients behaviour or motivation for waxing is inappropriate while carrying out an intimate wax, your treatment will immediately be stopped, your appointment ended and your card still charged for the full treatment. All incidents of inappropriate behaviour will immediately be reported to the police.
